Yesterday was my birthday, or as it has come to be known in our house,
Princess Day. :) I had a nice day, sort of crazy busy, but Tim was able to come and "store sit" so I could meet Debbie for a quick lunch. That night, I attended an OWC Spa Bingo night - and didn't win a thing! What's up with that? But it was still fun. I came home and Tim and the kids had decorated the inside of the motorhome quite festively (no, we didn't go camping - thought we were, but decided not to at the last minute). A very full, very nice day.
Today is my mom's birthday, and she and Danielle (and the Jameses) came down so the three of us could be creative. We went to the hobby shop on base and threw pots - not in the air, but on a wheel. This is the second time I have attempted this in the last year, and frankly, I am not getting much better. We still had a messy, fun time. I can't wait to see what they look like when they are all done. Happy Birthday, Mom! Love you!
Also, Happy Birthday to Jeannie! She is a dear friend from high school and we share the exact same birthdate. It made for lots of fun (including an excellent Sweet Sixteen Party) and it is cool to know someone who shares your big day.
On Christmas, my mom gave Danielle and I a bunch of photos we thought had been ruined when our barn flooded in the early 80s - very cool to see! Thought I'd say happy birthday to me and my mom by sharing a photo taken several weeks after the big event...thirty-nine years ago. :)
