We spent another great weekend camping at the beach with our friends (and their doxies). Lots of card games, good food and laughter were enjoyed throughout the weekend.Sadly, a man was killed by a great white shark this weekend in San Diego and the other beaches in the county were closed. Camp Pendleton apparently never got the memo. I was hesitant at first to let them in the water, but it was HOT!

At one point a pod of dolphin swam close to the shore - I think a lot of people freaked when they first saw the fins! We saw more dolphin this weekend that I have in a long time there. It was an excellent weekend!
This was my great idea - I made individual "jiffy pop" like sack for everyone to roast over the fire. Some people had a knack for the art, while others ended up with a ball of burned popcorn. Not as fabulous as I hoped it would be. :/
