We got up bright and early to start our day and explore the city. Today was the "working" part of the trip - visiting a similar store to Babies in Bloom. We began at Union Square where our hotel was located. They have these fabulous hearts painted there - loved them! Then we took the cable cars to store, explored Golden Gate Park (huge), the museums, Swensen's and China Town. That night, we were exhausted, but ran downstairs to meet my sister and her high school friend Renee and family - a fun surprise!

The "I Heart San Francisco" heart

Union Square

The historic cable cars

Hanging off the sides - omg you get so close to the other
cable cars when you pass - a thrilling ride!

You hear how steep the streets are, but nothing really captures it
Beautiful flowers from the Arboretum in GG Park

Loved the floral clock there

A view from the Observation Tower of the museum
(there are no other photos from GG Park because we were all
tired and crabby - the map was *so* not to scale - we must
have walked 5 miles there alone!!!)

At the Cable Car Museum - these are the wheels that pull the cables
that pull the cars (that live in the house that Jack built!)

My first waitressing job was at a Swensen's in 1985.
I had to visit the original - like my own Mecca :)

Swiss Orange, Sticky Chewy Chocolate - yummy!

We got off the bus in Chinatown prematurely. It was actually cool,
because we were in the authentic part, not the tourist part, at first.
We also went in an "underground fortune cookie factory (no photos allowed there,
though I tried to snap one from the doorway - it did not work)

Exhausted, weary travellers ready to rest their tired feet!
