Well, the boy is now 14...not so much of a boy anymore. :) He had the option of celebrating with his friends, or taking the cash equivalent towards his gift. He is now sporting an 80 gb ipod and you'll note there are no paintball party photos. It has made him very happy.

We did spend the afternoon and evening at Disneyland. We had planned on doing the Disney birthday bucket thing that we did with Kelsey (they give them a bucket with a cake, collectible pin and some other things), but they had no boy buckets available. Kyle passed on the princess bucket. Thankfully, Grandma and Grandpa Mariah had sent a box with a teeny little chocolate bundt cake! It was perfect for the midnight candle-blowing festivities...and very yummy, too.
