Lucky me...as the Camp Pendleton OWC Membership Chairperson, I am responsible for the production and distribution of the directory. This year, we had a color cover for the first time. Our logo is the "T & O" that is the official symbol of Camp Pendleton. A brief history lesson for those of you who have never been stationed here...it was once a cattle ranch. The "T & O" symbol was the brand used on the cattle. It is prevalent on the base today (and looks like a line drawing of an EGA to me).

Anyhow, I went out to take a photo of a "T & O" to grace our cover...and I had a one-hour deadline. No pressure. Here are a few of the pictures, including one of the chapel (no T & O, just pretty).

So which one did you choose? I like the one that looks like it is out of stone!!

What do the "T" and "O" mean? is it the initials of the people who founded the cattle ranch?

No, it was the brand the cattle already had on them when the owner bought them and brought them to California. :)
