We drove up to visit the grandparents today, sort of spur of the moment. Today also happens to be Aunt Joanna's birthday. We spent the day with my mom and Jim (Kyle and Grandpa mostly playing poker) and then had dinner with the McLeans.

Even though we don't do it as often as I like, I am always thankful for the fact that we live close enough to our families to be able to see them regularly. Very few military families are this fortunate. :)
