After looking at several properties, we settled on the medical building directly across the street from the hospital where I work. First, it makes us a very convenient location for moms discharging from the hospital without their babies to come and rent a pump. Second, I get many referrals from local pediatricians and OBs and it helps to be close to their offices. Third, office space is much less expensive than strip malls and fourth, you get to keep "doctor's hours." :)
There is a clinic room where I see lactation patients, a small classroom, a bathroom (not all offices have their own!) and we converted the waiting room into a boutique. We have no employees, yet. It is a true family business, with Tim often working on the weekends when I am at the hospital. The kids spent many hours there this summer, and have helped a lot, too.
Thought I would post some photos for those of you who haven't seen it in a while, or at all. It is a little "chaotic" right now, as I have some additional things for the holidays, and a display for an upcoming ceramic handprint workshop that is taking up an entire table. If you click on the pictures, you can see the full-size photo.
