This winter break, we aren't really going anywhere. We found ourselves unexpectedly with two weeks off (well, Tim and the kids are off), and no big plans. We have decided to take small day trips around the area, exploring some places we haven't seen yet.
Today, we went for an outing to Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad.
It is a beautiful adobe ranch, with several interesting buildings...and a large flock of peacocks!
Unfortunately, my camera battery died soon after we arrived. The ranch is available to rent for special occassions...wish I could think of something to have here!
