From Richmond, we drove back to Quantico. First stop: to visit our very first home. :)
Then onto the Marine Corps Museum. If you are ever in the area, marine or not, you must go. It is amazing - from the life-size dioramas to the replica of Tun Tavern. Total must see museum.
From there, we drove onto base and headed to the Moreno's house. So glad to have more time with Jill and her kids (but we missed Paul - he is deployed). Again, the kids fell into a natural rhythm as if it had been days, not 7.5 years since they'd seen each other. We also enjoyed getting to know Sam and Chase! That night, the adults headed out to meet our friends Jim and Michele for a bit. Loved that! Then back to Jill's for more chatting...and sleeping.
The next day, we headed over to the Adams' house where the Caleys joined us! We are so glad to have so many fabulous friends, but bummed that they live all over the world. Lucky for us, many are here in Virginia! After an excellent lunch and even better conversation, we had to head back to the airport. A quick visit to the Air Museum at Dulles then on the plane home. Looking forward to Tim joining us back in California soon!
